Their platform is a hub for various shows that cater to a diverse audience, making sure there’s something for everyone. Amidst their successful lineup, the “in360seconds” series had been a hit, but it was time for a refresh. Enter “Kijken is Weten”—a brand-new explainer series designed to take the platform by storm with even more engaging content.
The task at hand was no small feat. DPG Media needed a complete overhaul to give the new series a vibrant, engaging edge. They turned to us, PDB, to craft a motion graphic template that would not only visually impress but also elevate the overall viewer experience. Our mission was clear: create a set of versatile, visually striking templates that would make editing seamless and the final product irresistible.
COMPELLING EVENT:
DPG Media’s push for the “Kijken is Weten” series was driven by the need to revitalize their content offerings. The old series, “in360seconds,” had served its purpose, but the audience’s appetite for more engaging and visually appealing content was growing. The challenge was to develop a new series that would match and surpass the dynamic and graphical standards viewers expected. The goal was to create a series that was not only more visually appealing but also more informative and engaging.
That’s where we came in. They needed us to design a motion graphic template that would allow for easy editing while maintaining high-quality, dynamic visuals. We were tasked with crafting animations, designing graphics, and creating a cohesive visual identity for the series. The stakes were high, and the timeline was tight, but we were ready to jump in and deliver.

Keep the Eye on the matter
.
Our journey began with a clear concept: “Kijken is Weten” needed to blend knowledge with fun. We kicked off the project by developing a series of dynamic animations and motion graphic elements that would set the tone for the series. From the get-go, our focus was on creating an engaging intro animation that would immediately capture viewers’ attention and convey the essence of the show.
We dove into logo design, exploring various styles before settling on one that felt just right. For the lower thirds and transitions, we created mockups to ensure everything was visually cohesive. The design also included a unique photo filter—a vintage pop art style with a splash of infographic and minimalistic elements—to give each episode a classic, yet fresh look. This approach, reminiscent of The Beatles’ “Yellow Submarine,” helped blend black and white imagery with colorful graphics.
What we delivered was a comprehensive motion graphic package that transformed the series into a visually captivating experience.
We created everything from the intro and outro animations to font choices, photo filters, and lower thirds. Each animation was designed to be both compelling and easy to edit, allowing DPG Media’s team to quickly adapt and update the series as needed.
