Picture this: a cozy living room, filled with vinyl records, posters of rock icons, and a radio tuned to Arrow Classic Rock, where every note resonates with nostalgia and excitement.

But like every rock star, they needed a revival. While they had a solid presence on the radio, Arrow Classic Rock was looking to amp up their online listener base. They wanted to make waves in the digital realm and attract more fans to vote for their favorite classic rock tracks. The mission was clear: boost engagement, grow their audience, and turn casual listeners into die-hard fans. Enter us!

Arrow Classic Rock was on the hunt for a talented motion designer. They reached out because they needed help refining an animation project that had fallen a bit flat with the previous designer. It was a classic case of needing a fresh pair of eyes to bring the energy back into their visuals. But what started as a simple fix quickly transformed into a full-blown project that got our creative juices flowing!

With their sights set on creating a new advertising spot, Arrow Classic Rock had a vision: a high-energy ad that would resonate with their rock-loving audience and highlight their 20 most popular classic rock songs. The stakes were high; they were not only looking for an eye-catching advertisement but also an impactful tool that would drive more listeners to their radio station and website. This was a call we couldn’t resist!

Our journey began with a clear concept: "Kijken is Weten" needed to blend knowledge with fun. We kicked off the project by developing a series of dynamic animations and motion graphic elements that would set the tone for the series. From the get-go, our focus was on creating an engaging intro animation that would immediately capture viewers' attention and convey the essence of the show.

Throughout the project, our collaboration was dynamic! We utilized some graphics from Arrow but also crafted plenty of our own. A standout moment was when I worked on the new logo design. We aimed for something that popped and shined, perfectly capturing the essence of classic rock. Sound editing was another critical piece of the puzzle. The challenge of getting the audio to meet RTL’s technical specifications turned into a fun and rewarding experience. After all, what’s a rock ad without the perfect soundtrack? We made adjustments, communicated openly, and soon enough, we had a final product that rocked!

What emerged from our collaboration was nothing short of spectacular. The final advertisement was a thrilling visual feast—full of fiery graphics, explosive animations, and a gritty, rock-inspired aesthetic that made it fun to watch. With dynamic scenes and the seamless blending of 2D and 3D effects, we captured the essence of Arrow Classic Rock in a way that was fresh and engaging. The new logo gleamed with vibrancy, and the overall vibe screamed classic rock!

The results were nothing short of amazing! After launching our ad, Arrow Classic Rock saw an impressive 25% increase in listeners. That surge didn’t just mean more people tuning in; it translated into real revenue growth for the station. With the combination of engaging visuals and compelling content, Arrow Classic Rock solidified its presence not just on the radio but also in the online world.
